Fachnie, Jarrod “Jerry”

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother and friend, Jarrod Dale Fachnie.

Jarrod (Jerry) was born May 3, 1967, at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital and was the second child of six to our Dad, David Simon Fachnie (2021) and Mom, Shirley Jewel Curran (2013).

Jerry leaves behind older brother Jeffery David (Cathy), sister Jill Anne (Mike) and little brother Jed Andrew (Coralee) and is predeceased by brothers Derrek Jason and Dean Joel.

Jerry also leaves behind children Jessica, Dale, Deanna, Staci and Emma.

Jerry loved all things mechanical and electrical and had an amazing talent for understanding why things worked the way they did. He loved animals like no other and he gave everyone he encountered a personality of its own.  An avid reader, he loved local history and always held his hometown Creemore and its people near and dear to his heart. Everyone who met Jerry was better for it…..

We will dearly miss his quirky sense of humour and never-ending stories. Jerry saw the world differently than everyone else and that’s what made him so special…. It’s also why he will be so missed.

He can now rest with his beloved Mom & Dad.

Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home Creemore Chapel from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday November 23, 2023.  Please join the family at a celebration of life on Saturday November 25, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Creemore.
