Police investigate home invasion in Avening

Huronia West OPP conducted a door-to-door canvass in Avening late last week. Police are investigating a home invasion on Fisher Street which occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on Nov. 7.

A female occupant of the home was treated for minor injuries. Nothing was reported stolen. At this point, police do not believe there is any threat to public safety, but they urge home and business owners to be vigilant and familiarize themselves with the security tips available at OPP Safeguard Ontario Property Security Program.
