TYMCHUK, William “Bill” – Passed away in Toronto on Dec. 13, 2023, in his 103rd year. Bill was born in Ukraine, arriving in Canada with his family at age 9, son of the late John and Mary Tymchuk. Bill was a WWII veteran enlisting in 1940 and long-time legion member of Fairbank Branch 75. He is survived by brothers Morris (Carol) and George (Carrion), sisters Marion and Patricia, brother-in-law Bruce Dibble and daughter Marlene. Predeceased by daughters Diane, Lorraine and Sandra, and Janny, the mother of his children, also brothers Michael and Stephen, and sisters Margaret and Pauline. Funeral service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Creemore Chapel at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, with visitation one hour prior. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion in Creemore. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Creemore Union Cemetery or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
