Plane crashes in Edenvale farm field

Huronia West OPP responded to a plane crash near Edenvale on Monday. The plane crashed in a farm field in the area of Highway 26 and Strongville Road. The pilot was the only occupant in the aircraft and was able to conduct an emergency landing of the plane, escaping uninjured. The aircraft caught fire but was quickly extinguished by emergency crews. Police say it is unclear what caused the pilot to conduct an emergency landing and ground the aircraft.
