METHERAL, Delsie Enid Besse – Died peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood, at the age of 72, after a long battle with cancer. Delsie was the loving mother of Kathy Jo Dobson (Nigel), Jean Frances (Brandon), Hayley Quesnel, and the late Micheline McLean, the mother-in-law of Brad McLean. Cherished grandma of Owen Horner, Connor and Taylor Dobson, and Rylan Skinner. Dear sister of Neil (Jean), Margaret (Russell Rowbotham), Clifford (Kathy), Beth (Sam Gunther), Donny (Kelly), and the late Jane (Henry Ivits). Delsie will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Delsie was always happiest when surrounded by family, friends, and the members of her community. She was no stranger to hard work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Delsie loved to quilt. Her quilts were not only the expression of her talent but also created from a place of love for every piece she created or helped with.
A celebration of life will take place at the Dunedin Hall, 8994 County Road 9, Dunedin, on April 7, 2024 from 1 to 4 p.m. If desired, donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House would be appreciated by Delsie’s family.
