CAUTHERS, Lois Ione (nee White) – Died peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood, at the age of 80. Lois leaves behind her loving husband and soulmate of 58 years, Gary. She was a devoted mother to Jac (Jessica) and Erinn (Jorge), grandmother to Laurena, Jorge and Jaime, and sister to Dick (Paulette) and the late Harry (Connie). Lois was born in Shelburne in 1944 and moved with her family to Stayner where she attended high school with Gary. Dating, the two moved to Toronto where Lois enrolled in the Wellesley Nursing Program. Gary and Lois were married in 1965 and continued to live and work in Toronto while raising a family. Lois’ last employment prior to retirement utilized her nursing background as she took on the role of Human Resources Manager at Riverdale Hospital. Gary and Lois retired back to the countryside, living their golden years in the old Orange Lodge in Glen Huron. Lois was happiest when spending cherished moments with family and friends, tending her beautiful gardens, and travelling around the world with Gary. She was an ardent supporter of the Nature League (Collingwood) where she developed many wonderful friendships. No service or events are planned at this time. If desired, donations can be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation (Campbell House) or the Nature League. To sign her Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com.
