Driver charged in Avening collision

A vehicle travelling northbound on County Road 42 (Airport Road) was flipped on its roof after being struck by avehicle travelling at high speed westbound on 3/4 Sideroad Nottawasaga in Avening Sunday evening at about 7 p.m. Police say the male driver of the vehicle, which ended up in the ditch on the west side of Airport Road, was charged with careless driving, driving with “window coated – view obstructed” and having an obstructed plate. The passenger of the vehicle above was transported to hospital with minor injuries, accompanied by her daughter who was driving.
