After starting the season with a loss and a tie, the Creemore Cardinals 13U AA team has put together a five-game winning streak and taken over first place in the YSBA/TBA Interlock. This past weekend the Cardinals had key wins over Toronto Playgrounds, North York and North Toronto.

On Friday, May 31 the Cardinals benefitted from a great combined outing on the mound from Evan Wells and Drew Hamilton who together allowed one hit and no earned runs in the victory over Toronto Playgrounds at Christie Pits.

Sunday at Gowan Park saw two more great pitching performances this time by Nate Patterson and Reece Fuller who also did not give up an earned run in the 5-1 victory. It was the offence’s turn to shine when they combined for 17 hits on Monday night in the 13-8 win over the North Toronto A’s at Sentinel Park.

The Cardinals will play Richmond Hill in a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday before facing the Leaside on Sunday at 11 a.m. All games are at Gowan Park.
