Airbnb renters charged with theft of furniture, appliances

Huronia West OPP have arrested and charged a couple of thieves who made off with furniture and appliances from an Airbnb rental in Clearview Township.

On March 16, police responded to the reported theft by a male and female from Meaford. Members from Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted further investigation which led to a storage locker in the Collingwood area that had been rented by the accused. A search warrant was executed at the storage facility where some of the stolen property was located.

Christopher Bikker, 43, and Nicole Swann, 36, were both arrested and charged with Theft Over $5,000 and Possession of Property Over $5,000.
