Hort Society announces Summer Flower Show winners
Held on Saturday, July 20, the summer flower show of the Creemore Horticultural Society was a beautiful success. The theme “United by Flowers” was carried throughout the 143 entries, by showing how the beauty of flowers can inspire and connect us to one another.
Awards went to the following:
1. Hisey Award – Given in memory of our founder, won by Linda Kelly;
2. Most Outstanding Entry in Cultural Division, donated by Linda Kelly, won by Linda Kelly;
3. Most Outstanding in Design Division, donated by Creemore Flower Company, won by Linda Kelly.
4. Community Display of Homemade Garden Ornaments, donated by Bob Ransier, won by Melissa Doherty.
5. New this year: Special Display Award, donated by the flower show committee, won by Melissa Doherty and Linda Dermott.
6. Judge’s Choice, donated by the Old Mill House Pub, won by Melissa Doherty and Linda Dermott with their most inspiring special display entry titled “Peace and Rainbow.”
Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge thank you to judge Holly Wells, all the prize donors, entrants and volunteers.
