The Creemore Legion has been awarded another capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), which is funded by the Ontario Government. The grant will be utilized to upgrade the kitchen facilities.

Renovations will include new wall and flooring finishes, cabinets, stainless steel counters, new commercial dishwasher, sinks and all required plumbing and electrical work.

Capstone Renovations Inc. recently renovated the branch entrance hall and washrooms under the first OTF grant, and is engaged to complete the new work. Michael Loranger will act as Project Manager on behalf of the Legion.

Jim Henderson, President of the Creemore branch said, “We are thrilled to be awarded this grant which will improve the safety of our kitchen for volunteers and the public. Our kitchen and seating capacity is the largest in the area and these upgrades will enhance our ability to serve the community which is critical to our existence. We are proud to be a key part of the Creemore community and anticipate a long and healthy partnership with our community members.”

Renovations are expected to begin this December and completed by the end of March 2025. During this time planned events such as darts, euchre and meetings in the Hall and Lounge will continue, and the bar will be available as required.
