BLACKMAN, Linda Jean – passed away surrounded by her family at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood on November 19, 2024, in her 75th year. Linda was born to parents James and Audrey (nee Mark) Fletcher in Toronto on April 24, 1949, where she spent 30 years before moving to Collingwood in 1974. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Audrey Fletcher, sisters Robin and Ora, brother-in-law Laurie, and her brother James (Barb). Linda will be remembered as the devoted mother of Allison (Deepak) and Michelle (Rob) and was the treasured and loving grandmother to Darrin, James, Katelyn, Raymond, Joshaua, Justin (Brittany) and Brandon. She was the proud great grandmother to 14 great grandchildren. Linda will be fondly remembered and missed by her sister Dianne, her brothers Kevin (Joanne), Gary (Tracey) and Craig (Robin). Linda loved to travel and play Scrabble. Described by her grandchildren as the best grandmother, Linda had a big and caring heart and was a foster mother to at least 42 children. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Campbell House Hospice, especially Barb who became her Scrabble partner.
