NIENKAMPER, Klaus Heinz, 1940 – 2024
After a life well lived and thoroughly enjoyed, and loved by his entire family, Klaus left us peacefully on October 28. Klaus is survived by wife of 60 years, Beatrix, daughters Rebecca and Ottilie and son Klaus Jr. as well as seven loving grandchildren. Klaus emigrated from Duisburg Germany in 1965 making Toronto his home and center of business in the furniture industry. His real passion however was the family farm in Mulmur, breeding and raising Dutch Friesian horses on the property which came to be named Glencairn Farms for the last 45 years. The farm became a meeting place for all, where one and all were always welcome to come and say hello, have conversations, and get to know one another and the community. Another passion of Klaus was to participate in the annual Creemore Christmas parade, harnessing up a team of horses and sharing his passion with the people of Creemore. As Creemore grew, so did his participation within the community, contributing to the recent development of the Village on the Green Park in town, of which he was very proud to be a part of. While having been born and raised in Germany, Creemore always held a special place in our family’s hearts and will always continue to do so.
