Dufferin Film Festival announces return in 2025
The Dufferin Film Festival (DFF) will return in 2025.
Celebraed as one of Dufferin County’s newest annual events, DFF showcases the best in short films from across Canada, creates a platform for emerging and established creators, and connects audiences.
DFF 2025 will be held in Orangeville from August 15-17, and submissions are now open.
Thanks to the support of sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, the 2024 film festival was deemed a resounding success.
With 56 per cent of attendees from Dufferin County and 44 per cent travelling from other regions, the event proved to be a unifying cultural experience that drew local audiences and tourists alike.
Attending filmmakers called it “intimate and inspiring,” with one participant praising the festival as “a must-visit destination for independent creators.”
DFF thanks Christine Hann, whose tenure as a board member (2023-2024) made the inaugural event possible, and Elizabeth Bryan, whose work as volunteer coordinator was very successful.
Participation from local businesses, organizations, and film enthusiasts is important to celebrate Canadian talent.
