HARPER, John Ross – passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 at Campbell House in Collingwood in his 93rd year. John is now reunited with his beloved wife Joyce.
For over 25 years, John owned Creemore Home Hardware and was known for his skill as a handyman and woodworker. His work was marked by dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and a genuine desire to help those around him. Whether it was fixing a household problem or building Santa’s sleigh, he always took pride in his work and made sure the job was done right.
In addition to his business success, John was a dedicated volunteer firefighter for over 30 years. A proud advocate for his community, John was the embodiment of small-town values. His friendly, welcoming demeanor made him a cherished neighbour and his presence in Creemore will be deeply missed.
A service of remembrance will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Creemore Chapel at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025.
