MacPherson Builders hold ground-breaking

Local dignitaries were on hand Tuesday for an official ground-breaking ceremony at the site of the new Foodland store on Highway 26 in the east end of Stayner. From left: Russell Higgins, MacPherson Builders, Councillor John Broderick, MP Terry Dowdall, Progressive Conservative candidate Brian Saunderson, Mayor Doug Measures, Clearview Township CAO John Ferguson, Deputy Mayor Paul Van Staveren, Councillor Marty Beelen, Councillor Robert McArthur, and Sean Ford of MacPherson Builders. Located adjacent to the new Stayner Care Centre, the complex will eventually house the new, larger Foodland, A Dollarama Store, an LCBO outlet and a McDonald’s restaurant. Foodland is expected to open by Easter.
