Funding builds equity in sports and recreation
The Clearview Youth Centre will offer area youth and equity-denied populations a variety of sports and recreation opportunities through the Connecting Clearview Youth to Sport program this summer thanks to a $11,530 JumpStart grant and a $1,000 ParticipACTION grant.
The programming will build on that created in years past with JumpStart funding to remove barriers to sports and recreation.
The ParticipACTION program will offer adaptive dance classes in May and June, run by a certified dance instructor, and the JumpStart program will offer participants a variety of different sports, both locally and by travelling to recreation locations, all at a low cost, or free of charge, for Clearview youth.
