Jeanette McFarlane has been named this year’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year in Mulmur for her passion, energy, and unwavering dedication to the community. When the Honeywood Arena faced challenges, McFarlane initiated a community-wide movement with the My Honeywood campaign, inspiring neighbours, friends, and strangers alike to rally behind a shared cause. She spearheaded Honeywood’s bid for Kraft Hockeyville. Through her relentless dedication and inspiring leadership, Honeywood emerged as a finalist, garnering national recognition. Officials say her ability to unitepeople through shared purpose and heartfelt storytelling is nothing short of extraordinary.
