Never too late to subscribe
If you are reading this, we have you to thank for the ongoing presence of The Creemore Echo.
We are well into our annual subscription drive and we are very grateful for those who support us in our mission to continue to deliver local news and information, published by a locally owned independent source.
Thank you to everyone who braved the elements to come see us at the Creemore Farmers’ Markets these past three Saturdays. The weather did not cooperate but we appreciate how many of you came by to renew your subscriptions and say hello. It is always nice to meet new people, catch up with long-time readers, and accept words of encouragement (along with the odd critique).
As many of you know, The Creemore Echo is not just a newspaper. It is a community hub for local information. It is a place where people come to make new connections, a partner to community organizations who need a place for public pick-ups and drop-offs, even a lost and found.
Our duties spill beyond the pages of the newspaper and we are rewarded when we hear people say that they have felt welcomed and included in the community as a result of having a community hub.
In order to continue to support the community, we ask that people subscribe to The Echo. We are stronger for having many people contribute a relatively small amount so we are never completely reliant on one source of funding.
It’s never too late to subscribe.
In addition to our annual subscription for the low price of $60 per year, which includes an early bird electronic version by e-mail every Thursday evening, we are also looking for boosters, champions and patrons.
A booster, with a contribution of $75 per year, is a keen promoter of community and the newspaper, someone who wants to give a little extra boost of encouragement.
A champion, with a contribution of $100, is someone who champions our mission to share the community’s stories, celebrate its accomplishments and promote local business.
A patron, with a contribution of $200 or more, receives all the subscriber benefits offering the highest level of support to ensure The Echo provides value well beyond the weekly paper.
Boosters, champions and patrons will see their names in the newspaper as a big thanks for the support. If you believe, like we do, that professional journalists providing locally generated information is vital to a healthy, happy and prosperous community,
be a Creemore Echo subscriber.
All levels of subscriptions are available online
at creemore.com/shop or come into the office at 3 Caroline St. W. We also take payment over the phone at 705-466-9906.
