The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) Foundation reports the 2025 Mad River Classic golf tournament raised more than $75,000 in support of a new state-of-the-art hospital for southern Georgian Bay.

At four times the size of the current CGMH, the new hospital will expand healthcare services for the fast-growing community, improve patient care and privacy, attract top healthcare professionals and build on a legacy of education and training.

Since 2011, Tatham Engineering has been the title sponsor for the event. They capped off the evening with a pledge of $500,000 to the Tomorrow’s Hospital campaign.

Organizers thanked Tatham, as well as sponsors Burgundy Asset Management, Walker Industries, Blue Mountain Honda and TD, for their generous support and sponsorship.

Last December, the provincial government announced $95.5 million in funding for the new hospital, to be built on Poplar Sideroad. When complete, the new facility will feature 132 fully private beds – up from the current 84 – along with expanded intensive care and emergency services, diagnostic imaging and operating suites.
