Stead, Barbara Ann

Barbara Ann Stead, 79, of Creemore, Ontario, passed away March 11, 2026 at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital. Born in Leeds, England, Barbara immigrated to Canada almost 60 years ago and was a proud Canadian citizen. She lived in her beloved home in Creemore for close to 50 years. An avid gardener, many will remember her glorious gardens, which were often featured in the Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society Garden Tours. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sara Maxim, and by family and friends, and was predeceased by her former husband, Albert Maxim. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service. Her ashes will be privately scattered at a later date.
