At its June 3, 2026 meeting, 100 Men Who Care Southern Georgian Bay chose to support Beaver Valley Outreach by donating $13,366.
Beaver Valley Outreach (BVO) is a charitable organization located in Thornbury serving the Town of the Blue Mountains community. BVO began over 43 years ago, having been started by a group of women who collected winter clothing for donation. While maintaining its grass-roots values, it has grown into an organization that, through its small staff and more than 150 volunteers, offers a multitude of programs and services that support Blue Mountain residents at all ages and stages of life – from newborn to youth to seniors. BVO’s mission is to provide quality programs and services that support the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the Blue Mountain community.
Funding support from 100 Men Who Care Southern Georgian Bay will go directly to support BVO’s Emergency Services, Food Cubby and Holiday Hamper programs. The Emergency Services and Food
Cubby programs allow BVO to support some 35-45 households each month to meet their most basic needs for food and other necessities. The Holiday Hamper program provides food, gifts and gift cards to help make the holiday season brighter for families in the Town of the Blue Mountains; in December 2025, BVO provided hampers to 116 Blue Mountain households.
“We are greatly appreciative of the support through 100 Men Who Care Southern Georgian Bay. Their generosity will help us with maintaining and potentially expanding our Emergency Services, Food Cubby and Holiday Hamper programs,” said Lynn Keays, BVO board chair.
“We are pleased to recognize the great support that BVO provides to our Southern Georgian Bay Community and with this financial donation, support them in helping those individuals and families in our community who struggle with food insecurity and an opportunity to celebrate during the holiday season,” said Ian Campbell, leadership team member, 100 Men Who Care Southern Georgian Bay.
