Widdifield, Jeanette K. from Creemore, peacefully with family by her side at Grey Gables, Markdale on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026. She is survived by her children Craig Widdifield and Jannice Vonda (Ed), grandchildren Blake (Betsy), Adam (Samantha) and Scott, great-grandchildren Amelia, Abbey, Sage and Lane and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Harold, mother Margaret F. Blair, father Thomas and brothers Archie, Peter, Tommy and Jack. Jeanette was born in Greenock, Scotland and emigrated to Canada with her mother and siblings as a teenager. She worked for many years for the Hudson’s Bay Company as a senior supervisor. Members of the family would like to offer their sincere appreciation for the wonderful, compassionate care provided by the staff at Grey Gables where she spent the last several months of her life. As Alfie, a fellow Grey Gables resident she befriended put it, she was “one of a kind.” Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in her memory would be appreciated.
