Lawson-Morrison, Anita Joan. Died suddenly on Monday September 21, 2026, at her home at the age of 44. Anita of Stayner, beloved wife and best friend of Steven Morrison. Loving eldest daughter of Fred and Cindy Lawson. Cherished big sister of Janice and Crystal Lawson. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Katherine and Larry Robertson. Dear sister-in-law of Roy and Sheri, Leanne, Gord and Natalie and the late Dave and Sonya. Anita will also be missed by her aunts and uncles – John and Candace Widdis, Douglas Curran, Lois and Fred Garland, the late Mitchell Curran and the late Dorothy Lawson. She will be remembered by her many cousins, her colleagues and her customers and her feline companion Clara Bear. Anita was a kind and outgoing woman. She had an infectious smile along with a discrete eyeroll. She was considerate, helpful and supportive to everyone she encountered. She enjoyed camping and road trips, unique culinary experiences and attending country music concerts. Her sudden passing and short life have left a tremendous void. Her family invite you to join them to celebrate Anita’s life on Saturday October 3, 2026, at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel from 2:30 to 5 p.m. In honour of Anita, the family requests that attendees wear purple.
