Creemore curlers back in the hack
Ladies’ League
Team win-loss-tie
Millsap 0-1-0
Walker 1-0-0
Crawford 0-0-1
Verstegen 0-0-1
From the Hack: After 86 weeks without curling, the Ladies’ League was ready to manage the new “return to play” guidelines. Thanks to Paul and his crew for getting the ice into great shape. After a few shaky ends, we were back at it. We welcomed three new curlers, Ange, Kate and Bonnie who proved to be motivated, determined and flexible! A win by team Walker and a tie between Team Crawford and the Verstegen Creemore Springs Team got the trophy race started.
Daytime League
Team win-loss
Team Coulter 2-0
Team Martens 1-0
Team Bell 1-1
Team Lambert 0-1
Team McDougall 0-2
From the Hack: Finally this week, we were able to get back on the ice! With one voice, the Daytime Curlers rejoiced – well, half of the team players anyways! Yes, the winning half! It seems the 18 month break from throwing rocks didn’t affect Bill (Team Martens), nor Ron (Team Coulter), as they performed brilliantly, in their first few games! Curling, masking and social distancing is a tough ask, but given some practice, the curlers feel they’ll be able to follow protocols easily! And of course, they’re happy to return to their favourite sport! Good curling eveyone!
