Robotics teams end season with local competition
he Cybergnomes and Cybergirls came together for an end-of-season competition at their practice space in the Gordon shop Monday. Interest in robotics is high but participants have not been able to attend competitions due to the pandemic so organizer Jim Crawford brought all teams together for a local showdown with 19 competitors and 20-25 spectators. The teamwork challenge championship winners were Cybergnomes teams 20013D and 20013E with a score of 48 points. Second place winners were Cybergirls team 20013V and Cybergnomes team 20013J with a score of 38 points. After the first round of finals both teams had 38 points. Each group competed again to break the tie. V&J went first and scored 29 points and D&E went second and scored 48 points (the high score for the competition).
