Annual Hike of Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle, virtual edition 2.0

 In Events

The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation is celebrating the 11th anniversary of its annual fundraiser, Hike or Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle, Virtual Edition 2.0, sponsored by Century 21 Millennium.
For the month of May, everyone is invited to walk, bike, run, dance, or get active in whatever way suits them best, and get family and friends to sponsor their efforts to raise much needed funds for Hospice Georgian Triangle. The first 45 participants to register will win an extra special prize donated by area merchants, and the first 300 registrants receive a welcome package from community partners, Tim Hortons, Sobeys/Foodland and Boston Pizza.
All money raised provides palliative care and palliative respite care delivered by the highly skilled clinical team at Hospice Georgian Triangle’s Campbell House and Community Support Programs team. These teams of professionals and trained volunteers provide support to everyone needing care from Town of the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview Township.
To participate, sign up at www.hospicegeorgiantriangle.com beginning May 1. Click on the “Hike or Bike for Hospice” tab at the top left of the homepage. From there, follow the links to register as an individual participant or as a team, donate to sponsor a participant, and a 50/50 tickets for this month’s draw, sponsored by Walker.
This year there are prizes for the top individual fundraiser from Kamikaze, and top team fundraiser from Squire John’s.
Organizers have added a new photo contest this year with prizes for “Purrrfect Pet” and “Most Scenic Route,” thanks to Pet Valu Collingwood and County of Simcoe. All the details can be found at www.hospicegeorgiantriangle.com beginning May 1.
“The pandemic continues to challenge our community in extraordinary ways, but throughout it, Hospice Georgian Triangle continues to support the needs of individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness, and those that are grieving and bereaved. Please add your financial support through the annual Hike or Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle during the month of May 2021, to ensure these free services continue for everyone who needs them. Thank you for your support,” said organizers.
Hospice Georgian Triangle provides compassionate care in the home and at Campbell House for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness at no cost and focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both the patient and family, enhancing quality of life.
