Arenas, library set to re-open next week

 In News

As a result of the province’s announcement of a loosening of the Modified Step Two of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen restrictions, Clearview Township is preparing to reopen the Stayner and Creemore Arenas beginning at 8 a.m. on Jan. 31 resuming the same ice schedules before closing on Jan. 5.

The arenas will be re-opening under the same reopening protocols in place prior to closing. Those protocols include: proof of vaccination; face-coverings; screening and sanitization; physical distancing; and a capacity limit of 50 per cent.

As before the closure, users will have full use of the facility including washrooms and dressing rooms.

For more information about the Creemore or Stayner Arenas, including the full reopening protocols document please visit www.discoverclearview.ca/ arenas.

All branches of the Clearview Public Library will re-open to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2 with capacity limits and safety protocols in place. Masks and self-screening are required to enter.

Normal hours of operation will resume, with hours at the Stayner and Creemore Branches being extended to 9 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, and a lunchtime closure Fridays between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the Creemore Branch.

Library visits remain limited to one hour per day and public computer use to half an hour per day. Printing and faxing will be available, with exact change. Curbside service will continue to be offered for those who wish to use it.

Residents are reminded to continue following the advice of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit by staying home if unwell. For Library information please visit www.clearview.library.on.ca.
