The Mosquito team travelled north this past weekend to Muskoka for tournament action. The Muskoka Cup this year featured the likes of Kanata, North Bay, Welland, Ancaster, Beamsville and Sudbury. After losing their first game 5-1 to Muskokas’ Rep team Creemore ran the table on their way to the B Championship. They won both their semifinals and championship games 10-0 over Bradford and Collingwood respectively. Owen Stinson and Tristan Park were dominant on the mound in the two shut-out efforts. Creemore returned to league action Tuesday with a 19-7 drubbing of Bolton.

Peewee team took both games of their doubleheader Saturday against the Barrie Baycats. Game one was a very well played 6-3 win, where defender was on display on both sides. Brody Coe spun six innings giving up only one run and two hits in the second game, a 9-7 victory. Dresdon Dupuis went 4-4 with three runs to spark the offense. Creemore fell to the Ivy Leafs Wednesday night 16-7 in a mistake filled game, but the talent on both sides were on display.

Seniors fell behind the Midland Mariners 9-0 early on Saturday and things looked bleak. Tom Gateman entered the game in the 5th inning shutting down the Mariners offense while the bats came alive. A bases clearing double by Bryce Watson sparked a comeback to a 9-9 tie.

Seniors host Bolton Dodgers Saturday to finish off their regular season. Peewees host Midland in their last regular season game Sunday at 11 a.m. The Mosquito team will also host Orillia Sunday for a doubleheader to cap their season, busy weekend at Gowan Park to close out regular season action.
