Cardinals take two from Twins

The 11U Creemore Cardinals improved their record in the York-Simcoe Baseball Association regular season to 8-0 on Sunday with two wins over the Midland-Penetang Twins.

In Game 1, Reece Fuller, Cooper Duits and Brayden Foulds combined to strike out 14 batters over five innings in a 12-3 win. Thomas Weldon had two hits including a three-run home run.

In the second game Keenan Reynolds led the way going two-for-two at the plate with a pair of walks, three runs, three stolen bases and two RBI in a 12-2 win. This pair of wins puts the Cardinals in first place in the 11U select division with eight regular season games remaining.

The Cardinals are in Chatham this weekend for their second tournament of the season.

9U baseball

This week, the Creemore Cardinals hosted Ivy. An all around great effort from the team came up short but the team continues to improve every week.

Great plays came from Seth, Si, Adair and Noah on the infield with Zygy scoring the lone run. Griffin’s hard hit double was the highlight at the plate.

The Cardinals host Angus on Saturday.
