Registration is open for Clearview’s first ever three-on-three Spring Fever Youth Hockey Tournament from April 3-5 at both the Stayner and Creemore Arenas.
There will be eight divisions in total, open for youth under 8 to under 15 with individual major and minor divisions. Teams will be made up of seven to 10 players, including the goaltender.
The tournament guarantees four games and offers fast-paced hockey, $5,000 in prizes, trophies and draws.
“The Parks, Culture and Recreation Department is extremely excited to host our first ever three-on-three youth hockey tournament,” said Terry Vachon, General Manager Parks, Culture and Recreation. “We’re hoping to attract a maximum of 56 teams for the three-day event. All registered participants will be entered into a complimentary draw for 16 authentic NHL jerseys. We will also have an incredible prize table this year including trophies for game, tournament and finals most valuable players and providing an impressive four-inch medal to all finalists.”
Registration is on a first-come, first-paid basis with a maximum of 6 teams per division. Register a team for $550 before registration closes on March 13.
Vachon said all funds will be going towards recreation programming in Clearview Township.
