Developers donate to Stayner library build

Sunrise Homes real estate developers Sajjad Hussain and Muzammil Kodwavi have made a $10,000 donation to the Clearview Public Library Stayner Branch fundraising campaign.
“On behalf of the Clearview Public Library Board and staff, I would like to thank Sajjad and Muzammil for their financial commitment to this important community initiative,” said CEO Jennifer La Chapelle. “In the 30 years I have worked as a librarian in the Stayner community, this project has been the most exciting library adventure in which I have been involved. Despite having to open in the middle of the pandemic we have had ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from residents entering our doors.”
Officials say the donation helps toward the fundraising goal of $250,000.
Mayor Doug Measures is thankful for the investment in the community amenities.
“Clearview Township is grateful for this donation to the Clearview Public Library Building fund. It is encouraging to know that business owners recognize the importance of investing in the community amenities that truly serve all residents. We are building a community together. On behalf of the residents of Clearview and the volunteers of the library board, thank you for the generous donation,” he said.
The new branch is open Wednesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The branches continue to offer curbside service. Visit www.clearview.library.on.ca.
