Drop-in vaccine clinics coming

 In News

Simcoe Muskoka continues to see a decline in cases of COVID-19, this being the fourth week with fewer than 100 cases reported.
Currently 76 per cent of adults 18 years and older living in Simcoe Muskoka have had at least one dose of vaccine and 41 per cent have had two doses. Sixty per cent of youth 12-17 years old have had their first dose and 8.5 per cent have had a second dose.
The health unit is phasing out its standby list in favour of drop-in clinics but people are still encouraged to book an appointment through the province’s online booking system at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine.
Vaccines are interchangeable and intervals have been shortened to 28 days for Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and eight weeks for those who had AstraZeneca as a first does.
