Dyden, Paul F.

February 2, 1937 – May 2, 2022

It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of one who meant so much to so many who knew him. Survived by his grateful wife Ellie, married 58 years. Predeceased by their son Mark and parents Robert, Myrtle Dryden, from Milton. Survived by sister Erla Maxwell (94) in Bradford, nephew Bill Maxwell (Marilyn), daughter Michelle and family, niece, Nancy Maxwell, daughter Crystal and family.

Paul started his life in Etobicoke but growing up in Streetsville with his first love, HORSES. Proceeding with family life, he created self-employment jobs until hired as night supervisor overlooking Etobicoke apartments pickup industry. When monies were saved, he found his 36-acre farm in Belfountain, Caledon, built his house, later adding a wing for his parents. His new workshop employed friends and neighbours who built shipping boxes to carry equipment all over the world. Moving into house renovations and building log houses. Where stone objects were required, he hand-picked, cleaned, and cemented every single stone. Then came his own solar swimming pool, hay fields for his horses and son’s 4H projects.

When Paul retired to Stayner he rekindled old friendships working at Clearview Nursery and joined a Sunday afternoon musical singing group at Steve’s Music Store. Milly, his long-time dog was greeter and Paul’s gifted singing voice was enjoyed while he played his guitar or harmonica.

Paul always put everyone else first by supporting, helping, donating his time and whatever he could, he did not want publicity or any formal service. A summer Celebration of Life and a burial in Belfountain is being planned.

Family requests if anyone wishes to donate in Paul’s name, please consider any animal shelter or Collingwood General & Marine Hospital for great service provided to him.

May Paul, son Mark, parents, and pets, all be together in peace, love and togetherness. Love always Ellie.
