Easter scavenger hunt planned for April 16

Plans are in the works for Easter festivities in Creemore.

A scavenger hunt will be held downtown from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.

This BIA sponsored event is being organized by darci-que and will be a variation on the traditional egg hunt.

Youngsters are invited to come to Bunny Headquarters during that time to get the instructions. Students at Nottawasaga and Creemore Public School have been painting eggs with words and numbers in preparation for the event.

Bunny Headquarters will be set up in a tent on Mill Street in front of Home Hardware, just look for the balloons, and it will be home base for the hunt, also offering crafts and activities. There will be music and the Easter Bunny himself will be joining in the fun.

Although it is not a race, there will be prizes and anyone who completes the scavenger hunt successfully will be entered into a draw for one of three Easter baskets, containing items donated by Creemore BIA district businesses.

“Nobody will go home empty handed,” said darci-que.

Look for a special colouring sheet in next week’s edition of The Creemore Echo and bring the completed picture to the event for even more prizes and treats.
