Echo to share blame in spreading misleading information: Writer

 In Letters, Opinion

Editor:
Perhaps The Echo needs to start using Twitter’s recent addition of Misleading Information Alerts on letters that contain unproven non-scientific content.
While I applaud Yael Inglis’ engagement and energy, I would like to suggest she do some reading on the subject of Information Literacy.
If she believes even half of the conspiracy theories she covers in her letter, she has been misled. And by publishing her letter without any kind of caveat, The Echo is validating the distorted opinions of someone who seems to be spending too much time in the dark corners of the internet.
MK Lynde,
Mulmur.
