In her talk, Janice Mason Steeves will discuss how an insistent dream during her artist residency in Sweden led to her writing “Bloom: On Becoming and Artist Later in Life”. Interspersed with stories of the 138 artists she interviews, Janice will share her artistic journey and her research on art and aging. While written with older artists in mind, this is an inspiring book about creativity that respects and celebrates all artistic mediums, from music and writing to painting and poetry, and everything in between.
