Ms. Leslie McCurdy of Windsor, Ontario is featured in her portrayal of Harriet Tubman the famed heroine of the Underground Railroad. Leslie has captivated audiences across Canada; the United States and in London. England. Ms. McCurdy brings Harriet Tubman to life. Her portrayal has thrilled her audiences at the 2011 National Black Theatre Festival in Winston-Salem North Carolina; 2012 DC Black Theatre Festival Living Legacy Series, Washington DC; Paul Robeson Art Is A Weapon Solo Play Festival, London England in 2013; and various festivals, Performing Arts Centres, schools and other venues with tens of thousands of audience members being witness to her incredible talent.
The Show will begin with a fabulous Starting Lineup of Canadian recording artists featuring outstanding performances by: the talented Vocalist & Keyboard Artist, Tiki Mercury-Clarke (Toronto); Singer-Songwriter, Rob Green (Hamilton); and popular Local Duo, Sheri Weldon & John MacMurchy (Collingwood). Also gracing the RecPlex Stage will be the incomparable, Rudi Quammie Williams & The Adinkrafarm African Drums & Dance Ensemble.
