GIFFEN, Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Grant) passed away unexpectantly, surrounded by her family, at General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood on Tuesday October 26, 2021, in her 93rd year. Dorothy, beloved wife of the late Murray Giffen (2008). Loving mother of Jim (Debbie) of Millgrove, Marie Stone (late Eric) of Stayner, Rodger (Carol Whitley) of Stayner and Doug of Gravenhurst. Proud Gram of Patrick, Steven (Terri-Ann), Patricia (David), Julie-Ann (Cal), Samuel (Chantelle), Nathan, Jessica (Patrick), twins Carlee (Drew) and Cody, and the late Kristine. Great Gram of Ainsley, Deacon, Brenna and Jameson. Loved sister of Garry (Mary) and sister -in laws Betty, Ruby and Alice. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Lloyd, Bill, Marion, Edward, Betty, Ernie, Don and Walter. Sadly, missed by her nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday October 28, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. Visitation was held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at the Manito Shrine Club, 2265 Fairgrounds Rd. N., Stayner, where a funeral service was held on Friday at 1 p.m. A private family Interment has taken place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stayner. Remembrances of Dorothy may be made to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
