Ivy, Bolton battle for Strother Cup

The North Dufferin Baseball League championship series is set between the Ivy Leafs and Bolton Brewers.

The best-of-seven series begins Saturday when the Bolton Brewers host game one at the Lisle diamond at 2 p.m.

Game 2 is Sunday in Ivy also at 2 p.m.

The remaining schedule is Sept. 15 at Ivy for 2 p.m., Sept. 16 at Bolton for 3 p.m. The fifth game is Sept. 22 at Ivy for 2 p.m., game six at Bolton on Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. and game seven on Sept. 29 at Ivy with a 2 p.m. start time.

The Leafs defeated both the Bolton Dodgers and the Clearview Orioles in three game series to advance to the finals.

The Brewers beat the Midland Mariners in three games and the New Lowell Knights in a five game series.

Ivy has dominated the season losing only one game in the regular season and sweeping their opponents in the playoffs.

Bolton holds a 25-win, five loss, and four ties record through the regular season and playoffs.

The Brewers are defending league champions, while Ivy last won a championship in 2014.
