Jeffery, Gordon Thomas Wesley

Died peacefully on Tuesday January 25, 2022 with his family by his side at the Bay Haven Senior Care Community, Collingwood at the age of 94.  Gordon, beloved husband of Lorna (nee van Alstine).  Loving father of Marlene (Marcel DeVries), Douglas (Lynda), David (Lisa Boysen) and Robert (Mary).  Cherished grandfather of Ashley Parton, Rebecca DeVries, Brian Jeffery (Meghan), Byron DeVries (Tania), Kevin Jeffery, Travis Jeffery, Randy Jeffery and Lucas Jeffery and great grandfather of Logan, Scarlett, Kaleb, Ayla & Hugo.  Gordon is predeceased by his nine siblings.  He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, friends and by many of his fellow farmers. 

Gordon was a kind man, who cherished his family.  He had a tremendous work ethic and a good sense of humour.  Gordon’s dedication to his Holstein cows and his John Deere tractors did not deter him from any opportunity to hit the road and travel. Road trips with Lorna to plowing matches and to music festivals allowed Gordon to meet new friends, reacquaint with old friends and enjoy old time country music. Whether spending the winters in warmer climates or heading to the Canadian Coasts or north, Gordon always came back with names of new friends that he met along the way. When Gordon wasn’t travelling he could be found at the kitchen table playing cards with his grandchildren teaching them how to cheat at euchre.

Gordon’s family gathered for a private funeral service. 

A Spring Interment will be at Bond Head Cemetery.
