Letter from the publisher of the Creemore Echo

 In Letters, Opinion

The mission of the Creemore Echo is to be a trusted leader, connecting community by providing a hub of information and services to readers and businesses, to support health and prosperity in the region. Our work has never felt more challenging – or more important – than it has this week. We want to share with you how we plan to operate as of Wednesday, March 18.

We will continue to publish

Providing our supply chain and our health remains intact we will send out our print edition via Canada Post as per usual. In the event there is a disruption of service with our printer or mail service we will be publishing online. If our small team becomes too ill to work, we will delay publication.

Office Operations

We will continue to be here for you, in our office, however our doors will be locked. We ask that you contact us by phone or email with your requests for service, or to share a story, and we will do our very best to meet your needs.

Circulation

The Echo will continue to be mailed to our regular postal routes. We are working with our retail distributors and will be updating who can continue to carry the paper. Outdoor news boxes are available at Foodland (kindly donated by Chestnut Park, Cheryl MacLaurin and Rob McAleer) and at our office at 3 Caroline St. West. We will provide free online editions to everyone and provide mailed subscriptions outside of our regular circulation area at cost of $15 for the next three months – this fee will help us cover our cost of mailing.
