Library goes wild for TD reading program

 In Community

Are you looking for something to do this summer? Something that is fun for the whole family and free?

Please consider joining us here at the Clearview Public Library as we “go wild” in July and August.

“Go Wild” is this year’s theme for our TD Summer Reading Program and it kicks off on Tuesday, July 12. There is a selection of programs for all ages at all three branches located in Creemore (705-466-3011), New Lowell (705-424-6288) and Stayner (705-428-3595). Please call, ask at the circulation desk or check out our Facebook page for more details.

Margie and Jen, our wonderful Ontario Early Years partners, will continue to offer their popular baby and toddler educational sessions at their regular times throughout the summer too.

Our Library Outreach crew will be out and about at the Stayner Music, Market and Park It every Thursday throughout the summer.

Stop at our booth to see what is new in library land and spend a moment to make a memory with the Stayner Garden Society and us. On Saturday, July 9, we will be pouring coffee and entertaining “the library dragons” at the Creemore Farmers’ Market between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Stayner Arts Festival takes place on Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our summer students, Shannon and Robin, will be in the Gazebo Park across from the Stayner Branch to craft and create with junior artists as they too will “go wild” with a treasure box of artsy activities.

Saturday, July 30 is one of the highlights of our summer season as we take part in the Creemore Children’s Festival once again. This year, we will be increasing our effort to promote local history by running an expanded “flight school circuit” in partnership with our friends at the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation.

At this time, we are gathering hometown aviation stories and we would love to hear yours!

Let your imagination run wild and free and plan to visit the library in the very near future – be it for one of our organized activities and/or to pick up a good book, movie or musical CD. There is truly something for everybody as we do have everything from apples (The Good Food Program) to zebras (On Beyond Zebra by Dr. Seuss.)
