Miller, Ruth Muriel (nee Paul) – With heavy hearts and loving memories, the family of Ruth announce the passing of our matriarch in her 96th year on Saturday, August 27, 2022. She left us peacefully during her sleep and in the home she so cherished. Ruth of Stayner is survived by her children Robert Miller, Marion (the late Brad McMillan), the late Patricia Miller, Terry Miller, the late Jack Miller, Pauline (Robert Milligan), Mary Catherine Miller, the late David (Barbara) Miller, Glen (Ana) Miller, Carol Ann (Walter Nobes) and Nancy (Cory Goorts). She will be remembered by her 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Barker, J.D. Paul and Lois Miles and her parents Jack and Ida Paul. Ruth was a compassionate and loving woman who always offered a smile. She took pride in her gardens, enjoyed word searches and gatherings of her family with good food and conversation. She will be deeply missed. Friends were received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service was held at the Stayner Missionary Church, 202 Ontario Street , Stayner on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 1 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception followed in the church hall.
