Minor baseball payers to vote on new name, logo

Creemore Minor Baseball has reviewed submissions made during its logo contest and narrowed them down to four finalists.

President Scott Weldon said the executive committee was impressed by the calibre of submissions and thanks all who participated.

The finalists include two different Creemore Cardinal logos, the Creemore Hawks and the Creemore Crows.

Players who have signed up for the upcoming season will be asked to vote on their preferred name and logo by the end of the month.

In total, 18 submissions were received from baseball families and the community at large. He said there were many good suggestions, but some had to be eliminated, including suggestions that the team be named The Brewers, a nod to Creemore Springs Brewery, since it is a kids’ team.

Anyone wishing to register for the upcoming season in time to vote is welcome to send an e-mail to creemoreminorbaseball@gmail.com. Otherwise, registration will begin in February.
