New flags going up throughout Clearview

Something new and something blue.

People will start seeing new Clearview Township flags going up throughout the municipality after council agreed on a new design.

The flag features the new logo on a familiar blue background, which was preferred over a white background.

CAO Steve Sage brought a recommendation for the flag design to council March 25 in keeping with the implementation of the branding process completed last year.

Sage said 50 flags have been ordered and as time permits, they will be hoisted at municipal facilities, beginning with the fire halls and arenas.

This is one of several upcoming decisions council will make as staff continues to roll out the design guidelines for the somewhat controversial rebranding process.

“I am starting to love it and on a personal note, so does my husband and he is not easy to please,” said Councillor Connie Leishman.

Councillor Doug Measures was the only council member not to vote for the new flag, saying that he has not supported the new logo from the beginning.
