Paper Bag Princess Day March 5

 In Events

Did you know that the Clearview Public Library works in partnership with libraries in Essa, Barrie, Ramara, Innisfil, Collingwood, Springwater, Wasaga Beach, New Tecumseth and Penetanguishene to present the Simcoe Author Talk Series?

Staff member Helena Hayward and Ella Hayward (2021 summer student and a happy holder of a CPL library card for 13 years) were proud to present Stephen Colwell (an author who resides in New Lowell) who spoke and read from Flying with the Dragons last week. This memoir is an entertaining and heartfelt story of one man’s journey on the road to enlightenment from the psychedelic sixties to the present. This book also includes daily practices and exercises based on ancient spiritual wisdom to help the soul’s progress on one’s own unique journey and is available for check-out at the Clearview Public Library.

The next virtual installment of the Simcoe Author Talk Series will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, when Robert Hough will speak about The Marriage of rose Camilleri. Please register on EventKeeper at www.clearview.library.on.ca to reserve your free virtual seat.

Saturday, March 5 is the annual Paper Bag Princess Day. This popular children’s book by Robert Munsch will be celebrated this year with the giveaway of very special activity kits courtesy of Annick Press. Please drop by the Creemore, New Lowell or Stayner branches to pick up a complimentary fun pack.

Take note too that our Mega March 2022 Spring Kitswill be dispersed on a first come, first served basis. These kits have been designed for Grades K-12 and the family-friendly drawing challenge is a contest for ages 0-99 years. These kits will magically appear in the branches at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12. Catch them while you can!

May March come in like a lion so it can go out like a lamb, in all aspects of life.
