PLATTS, Harold Arthur – It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Arthur Platts on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood in his 87th year. Harold of Stayner, beloved husband of the late Margaret Jean (Beettam) 1939- 2015. Youngest son of parents Samuel Fredrick 1895-1974 and Grace Marian 1900-1982. Predeceased by sister Edythe Marian Gent and brothers Robert Nelson and Dalton Stanley Predeceased by nephews Billy Gent and Rob Platts, and niece Robyn Gent. Survived by sister Audrey May MacAuthur, brothers Herbert (Bud) and Phillip. Survived by twenty-four nieces and nephews, thirty two great nieces and nephews, and seven great great nieces and nephews. Harold spent his entire working life with the Ontario Ministry of Health 1956-1991. During his tenure at the Ministry of Health he worked in such departments as Accounting and Payroll, T.B. Prevention, Occupational Health, Environmental and Public Health, Policy Planning and Development. He also served as an executive assistant to various directors within the Ministry.
