Pollinator friendly plants chosen for BIA street decor

The plants chosen for the BIA’s bike flower baskets were selected to attract pollinators, especially butterflies and hummingbirds.

All the plants were seeded and grown locally in a pesticide free environment.

Butterflies love the begonia, mandevilla, cala lilies and scaviola.  The plants even the begonias were elected because they are sun tolerant and need minimal dead heading.

We hope to see more butterflies in town this summer!
