Save the date: Rainbow Club hosts first Collingwood Pride festival

 In Events

The Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay is hosting its first-ever pride festival in Collingwood, from July 17-19.
“We are committed to creating a distinctive and creative event that is inclusive and connects with all members of our community to leave a long-lasting positive impression,” said Pride executive producer John Miller.
Collingwood Pride will be a festival and celebration for everyone; including our local and visiting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer or questioning individuals and our collective friends, families and allies (LGBTQ+). It will be a weekend long celebration of the community’s diversity, vibrancy and strength.
“Our wish is to pay homage to Pride celebrations worldwide and to celebrate our core local values of friendship, equality, education, respect, tolerance and collaboration,” said Pride managing director Andrew Siegwart.
The festival will include a Pride March on July 17, a Pride Run on July 18 (hosted by 365 Sports), and a Pride Street Festival on July 18.
“Collingwood Pride will be interactive, immersive and undeniable,” said Pride event producer Lori D’Agostino.
Organizers have already reached the halfway point of our fundraising goal! There are still plenty of opportunities for local organizations to partner ensuring that Collingwood Pride is a huge success.
